The Conference Venue
The recommended accomodation and conference venue will be at Le Meridien Hotel - located on the ground of a 19th century Villa in St Julians, overlooking Balluta Bay. This 5 star hotel also gives you free access to a heated indoor pool, a fitness center, jacuzzi and an outdoor rooftop pool. The hotel is situated in between Sliema and St Julians, one of the main centres in Malta for shopping, restaurants and lively cafe life.

Airport-Hotel Transfer
The Malta International Airport is not well connected via the public transport network, and it is recommended you take a taxi to the hotel. At the airport, you will find a taxi reservation desk with standard rates listed on the board above the desk. We recommend you request a taxi from this desk to avoid potentially being overcharged. There is no need to reserve a taxi beforehand.
Another option is to use a lower cost shared transfers which need to be pre-booked from www.maltatransfer.com.

Travelling to and from the Hotel
Various buses (numbers 62, 63, 66) pass from just in front of the conference hotel, leaving from the main bus terminus in Valletta. Ask to get off at Balluta Bay.
The Valletta Bus Terminus is the main hub of the public transport system in Malta, and you can get anywhere from there. However, note that from the Balluta Bay bus stop, there are also direct buses for a number of locations of touristic interest - bus 65 goes to Mdina and bus 645 goes to Cirkewwa from where you can take a ferry to go to Gozo.
